Q: Which media do you prefer when you listen to music? (CDs, analog records, Youtube, Apple Music, Spotify, etc)
A: Since I live in an apartment, I do not have a regular stereo. I do have some CDs, but usually I just rip them to the computer and listen to them on my iPod. I do have a record player, but it is a standalone model, so the speakers are not very good. The main purpose of this particular model is to digitize records, although I haven’t bothered to use it for that yet. I do sometimes listen to a record on it, but usually only when there is one specific record I want to hear.
I use a Roku, and Roku has a Pandora channel, so sometimes I listen to music on Pandora. We can listen for free, and we can request a specific artist. The service creates a “channel” of the requested artist and similar ones, so it’s nice to listen to that sometimes. The downside is that you can only skip a few songs using the free service, and there are commercials just like on the radio.

わたしは賃貸住宅に住んでいるから、普通のステレオは持っていないの。CDは持っているけど、たいていコンピューターに取り込んでiPodで聞いているわ。レコードプレイヤーも持っているけど、スタンドアローンモデルでスピーカーがよくないの。このモデルの主な目的はレコードをデジタル化するためなの。まだそのためにわざわざ使ったことはないのだけれど。これでたまにレコードを聞くけど、たいてい特に聞きたいレコードがあるときだけね。
（ストリーミングは）Rokuを使っているわよ。RokuはPandoraチャンネルを持っていて、Pandoraで音楽を聞くこともあるわ。無料で聞けるし、特定のアーティストをリクエストできるの。リクエストしたアーティストや似たもののチャンネルを作るサービスがあるから、時々それを聞くのは楽しいわ。難点をいえば、無料サービスだと２、３曲しか飛ばせなくて、ラジオみたいにコマーシャルが入ることかしら。
