The only foods that are taxed in America are restaurant meals, alcohol, ready-made foods from the supermarket deli, or junk foods and snacks.
Unfortunately, my favorite restaurants in America are pretty expensive already, so the tax makes it even more expensive.
They have some great items on the menu, though, so I often go there when I’m in the US.
My favorite restaurants are Thai, Vietnamese, Japanese, and Chinese.
I don’t go out to eat very often in Japan.
