One of the books I’ve read recently is called The Body Keeps The Score.
It’s a book that talks about how people re-experience trauma, and store the memory in their bodies.
When they have flashbacks, they really do feel, see, hear, smell, and taste the same things they did when it happened.
Their bodies react with the “fight or flight” response, even though there is no more danger.
Sudden touches or loud sounds most often trigger flashbacks, but it can also be familiar smells or sights.

The Body Keeps The Score がある。
